Venom is one of those cases where people enjoyed the movie, but understand that it is a bad movie. Also, there were a lot of people wanting a Venom movie before it released. They just wanted one tied to Spider-man. I mean, really, they have the rights to Ben Reilly! Fans wanted the movie to fail because of the lack of Spider-Man connection. Audience didn’t care. Point is rely on the internet community to get a general census. The success of Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle in another reason why you shouldn’t. Audience didn't care because their connection to Spider-man isn't there. I don't think many know there is a link. But at the same time, he subconsciously has Spider-man's look to him. Spider-man's non-involvment goes back to what I said about the costumes. Don't make nothing of it and there will be nothing of it.
