I don't have a problem with her accent (didn't even notice anything wrong tbh) and I still don't think she deserves a nomination. I have never been picky over accents anyway. It is the performance underneath the accent that matters to me most. I do think she gives a good performance though, just not Oscar worthy. An accent is part of a performance. If you're playing an American, and I keep hearing your English slip in, I think it matters. That's just me. Yes, it is PART of the performance. Tom Hanks in Captain Phillips constantly goes in and out with his Boston accent but every other aspect of his performance is brilliant imo. That part trumps the accent work by a mile for me. Like I said though, I didn't even notice Foy's English accent.
