Kratos, while we respect your right to express your opinions, please be advised that one of our own moderators is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you and I like it or not, a transgender superhero may one day become a reality. I tend to respect you Lord Death Man, but why the need to try and intimidate Kratos? As you stated, he did express an opinion, of course not mainstream nor pandering, but it's not like he wrote that gays must die...
Why moderators personal lives should stop us from expressing opinions? Sheesh, people gets offended by everything these days...
The feeling is mutual. Forgive me if my approach was heavy-handed. I'm a moderator on a couple of other boards and, in that capacity, I tend to try and nip trouble in the bud whenever I see it. All it would have taken for this thread to descend into an anti-LGBTQ+ rant is a few more off-color replies. I was trying to give Kratos a heads up, and since our mod is not shy about his affiliation, I thought it couldn't hurt for Kratos to know that before he decided to double down on remarks that could be misinterpreted as homophobic. We also now have an official rule prohibiting those kinds of statements. Next time, I'll save that for a PM. To demonstrate that the subject isn't altogether verboten, I'll go ahead and start a thread on that very topic. |
