Before there was John Williams there was Alfred Newman ...

I just looked at his IMDb page. I think he has the longest list I've ever seen. I've never heard or don't remember most of those soundtracks, but I do have at least one of his works. That's the soundtrack to The Egyptian (1954). That music really took root in my memory. It's the music of the gods.
