As an atheist, I tend to defend any religion against hypocritical attacks from people of another religion. That includes Christianity. But I ridicule them all equally, because belief in any of them IS ridiculous. So you admit that you're here to ridicule. That’s neither my sole reason for being here, nor my primary one. But it is something I willingly do when I happen upon a post worthy of ridicule. It just so happens that you and Cody often provide many chances to do so. I say that's true of all the atheists on this board. So if you're here to ridicule, expect to get it thrown right back at you. I can’t speak to what other atheists here do. But by all means, you’re welcome to try. I have yet to see you actually be successful in your attempts to do so without it backfiring badly. But sure, ridicule away!  Religion aside, how stupid is it to think the universe came about out of nothing? That doesn't even have anything to do with religion, but simply common sense. When has anything emerged out of nothing? NEVER. I’ve never claimed that the universe emerged out of “nothing”; this is a common theistic straw man argument. |
