Catman's parents' cat TC once saw a mouse on the back porch and went running for the door, crying out to be let inside.
His brother Julius, on the other hand, pounced on the mouse and mortally wounded it, then played with it for an hour or so while it bled out.
No, I haven't. I'm also glad to say I've never seen a cat sadistically play with dying prey.
However, I've seen a cat that faced-off against larger dogs - and successfully bluffed them. At least until the he finally met his match...?
He disappeared without explanation or trace...
It’s not pleasant watching an animal slowly kill another one. My dog did that to a rat once and it was horrifying, he would bite it, let it go, catch and toss it then bite it. Terrible.
I got over it though, it’s what animals do. I was just relieved that he didn’t try to eat it.
