Yeah, a free day is always better than a working day. Though I am not sure that concept applies to where you live. Where I grew up a holiday implied a day off from school and probably from work too.

Labor Day is my least favorite. It's basically an American scam to replace the global celebration of May Day, the international worker's holiday. It's not a celebration of labor but of capitalist usurpation of labor.

Labor day celebrates Unions, and people earning a decent wage and the creation of the middle class in America, and the preventuin of scumbag management whores from pissing all over the American lower class.
