VegasI heard someone else say that but I didn't get the impression that he cared. He was just more equipped for the job than other guy whereas the whole time, we are led to believe that the younger guy is the hero. He was really just a romantic version of the west that the Coens are skewering. This is what makes me mad about it. The guy in all likelihood got snookered by purchasing the chicken. He didn;t purchase anything else with it and he was just stupid enough to think the chicken itself was special. He did what he did for a chicken that he's probably going to have to eventually eat. Of course he may have known the chicken was pointless and was justifying what he wanted to do the whole time. Plus he had plenty of money.
