I don't think be's done much with the opportunities he's been given. Speaking of Austin, if you want to see what "seizing the brass ring" looks like, watch his match with Hart at Survivor Series '96. Watch that entire feud if you've got the network. That's what made him a star. And there aren't any Harts around any more and I highly doubt Rollins has the work rate Austin had in 96-97.

I blame Rollins/Ambrose match mostly on Ambrose and it's length. He has a long history now of under performing in matches with great in ring workers. Apparently Vince wasn't very happy about the match either. Ambrose has had a bit of a reputation in the past of being a lazy in ring worker.

In terms of comparing Seth to Austin? Yeah that's not really a comparison anyone needs to make. Seth doesn't have the mic skills or natural charisma that Austin had. He's just as good if not a better in ring performer but if that's not what people are into then yeah a lot of the roster is rather bland. Rollins worked better imo as the cowardly heel with The Authority backing him. I think WWE's big problem right now is they can't get over any pure "baby faces". Becky Lynch literally seems to be the only person on the roster right now that the crowd is absolutely just dying to see and in WWE terms/writing staff she's a fucking heel.
