Just to update how high the Marlins asking price is for Realmuto, a couple days back apparently the Mets turned down an offer of Realmuto for Syndergaard. They're just asking for far too much that it seems impossible that they make a deal. They are asking far more for him then they did for Stanton or Ozuna. Exactly. They traded Stanton, Ozuna and Yelich for a Costco sized thing of toilet paper, but for Realmuto (terrific as he is), they're deciding to actually get major league ready contributors? Pass. I'm glad Brodie exercised caution and didn't dump Syndergaard, Nimmo or Conforto as that simply plugs one hole but immediately opens up another one. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
