Funny. In the crazy social experiment of my life it was always the other way round. The gals did not want to watch MCU for it being too childish and immature. Batman, Superman and - duh - WonderWoman were the only acceptable choices, if at all.
Guess that is what they call anecdotal misconception, confirmation bias and milieu orientation.
