I hate commercials. The goal is to sell Google products. It's not like their intentions were pure. This feels a little sad and dirty to me, because the original is in my top ten. Honestly, probably my top 3. Yeah I agree. It feels like they're just using nostalgia to get people to buy whatever rubbish they're selling. I doubt they give a crap at all about Home Alone or MC. Is this really a surprise to you? Did you really think Google did this ad just to make it a tribute to Home Alone? Pandering/fan service is not anything new when it comes to selling a product and making money. Why do you think movie studios make late-arriving sequels, prequels, sequels, reboots, unnecessary remakes, etc. to old movie franchises? |
