The MCU is lacking interesting smarts and Adam McKay has them? He co-wrote The Big Short and won an Oscar for it, a screenplay that had to take some very complex ideas about the financial collapse in 2007 and make them palatable to a general audience without completely dumbing everything down to the point of meaninglessness. No easy feat. I've read that book, too. So did I and honestly the movie didn’t really do a good job imo. I think Charles Ferguson’s Inside Job (2010) was more effective at explaining things. |
