Possibly, depends on how much Bumblebee earns in the end. I know that when production BEGAN on Bumblebee it was a total prequel in line with the continuity of the others, but as development went on they went into more of a soft reboot kind of direction as the more they had the better it was received by test audiences - The G1-esque opening was added last minute.
