Because water is to Aquaman as yellow sun radiation is to Superman. Water makes Aquaman more powerful similar to how yellow sun radiation makes Superman more powerful. Is that actually true? Even in the comics?
I only think Aquaman would win because onscreen he kind of strikes me as the Thor of the DC movies. I didn't think being surrounded by water would suddenly make him into a waterbender, like Avatar The Last Airbender.
I don't recall even comic Aquaman having this attribute. It's Namor who gets stronger when he's in contact with water.
