I'm glad the taint of a sequel doesn't really fuck up it's predecessor in actuality. If so then X3, Origins would fuck up X1 and X2 and Apocalypse would tarnish First Class and DoFP. Also Spiderman 3 would taint Spiderman 1 and 2. The retcon of Uncle Ben's death in Spiderman 3 does sort of tarnish that part of Spiderman 1, but luckily I can just pretend Spiderman 3 never happened.
