If you think can use art to "disgrace" other art then you miss the point of what art is; subjective. I know I'm being a hypocrite here, but I think one of the main reasons audiences have gravitated towards Marvel is because their characters are flawed, relatable and realistic in all the right ways. I can understand Quill's emotional breakdown upon hearing of Gamora's death far more than I can relate to Johnathan Kent saying it's ok to let people die, but maybe that's just me.
