These may all be true, but its not about the actuality, its about the perception. What will his/her peers think when they hear the names.

Maybe, but it's moot. I'm 41 and have no plans of raising a kid in my mid-life to old age.  Sorry to hear that. But you might be right. You'd be 58 when the kid reaches 18. 62 when they're 21. 71 when they're only 30. Maybe not the best matching of generations.
His peers would be like "Is that your grandpa?"
And Daemon would be like "NO! That's not my grandpa! I commend his soul to the 7 level! Muah ha ha ha ha!!!"
And his peers would be like "...Dude, you're taking your name thing way too far..."
