Damn seriously?! I'll admit that Interstellar featured a lackluster script and overall it was a letdown . BUT Nolan's other films are all aces in my book. Even his smaller films like Memento & Insomnia are superior entertainment to what Disney is shoveling out these days . And he made a GREAT trilogy with the Dark Knight films . I mean come on , Heath ledger's Joker is hands down one of the best villains ever to grace the screen . Can't say the same thing for Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver) . I found myself really impressed by Dunkirk. Out of the 4K titles I have, it far and away looks the best. Badass man ! I loved Dunkirk and was in awe of it when I saw it opening day in theaters ( kinda kicking myself for not seeing it in IMAX but oh well) . Also , the reason I think Nolan is "too good" for Star Wars is because he seems pretty serious when he makes films . By all accounts , SW is supposed to be family fun and "light" in tone . Nolan COULD pull it off for sure imo but I don't think it'd be suitable for him. |
