Like with mos I did not like bvs at first, but then bought the br when people commented how great the directors cut was. And this one I really appreciated as one of the most interesting cbm after Nolan. Never watched the original cut again. First time I must totally have missed the philosophical themes, especially the god is dead arc. Or it’s only in the director cut. But I guess it’s likely I just was just too thick the first time around. Mea culpa. Great film. We will likely not getting a mature drama cbm anytime soon. God is dead arc? You probably missed the philosophical themes because Jesse Eisenberg paying lip service to Nietzsche doesn't equal a theme. And what are you talking about with the last line? Logan came out a year later. And got an Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay. Helps that it was actually a mature drama and not a punch em up for edgelords.
