He received a $5 million bonus from the A's, who let him play FB this year. But no one could see him having this type of year. Do doubt, he probably has more of a future in baseball. He is undersized for an NFL Qb. If he's 5'11", I'm Tsar of All the Russias. He's 5'9" and that's not going to make it in the NFL. But there are more riches and certainly more glory as a starting quarterback than as an outfielder in the Midwest League, where he will be in spring of 2019. Go NFL and you run the risk of being mentioned in the same breath with Johnny Manziel. Run the risk of busting out and taking too much pounding on your knees to be even a Tim Tebow.
And don't say "both". You can do the Bo Jackson/Deion Sanders routine as a RB or as a DB, Not as a QB. Too much off field stuff to do to have a bat in your hand all summer.
