Did you pay to see it so that the studio was recompensed in some manner for the thousands of crew members who worked on it? Stealing is stealing. No, it isn't. If someone lives across from Wrigley Field and they go up to their roof and watch a Cubs game from the roof of their building, that's not stealing. There's no law that says they can't go up to their roof and look across the street. Just because there's a ballgame going on across the street in Wrigley Field and he can see the ballgame from his roof without paying for a ticket to the ballgame doesn't make it stealing. The stadium is in a residential neighborhood? Petco is downtown surrounded by hotels so you would have to rent a room for way more than the price of a ticket. Qualcomm was very off by itself. The closest apartments were across a street & a parking lot. Sounds like you pay for those roofs. But it isn't the same, either. The ball game isn't written by, filmed by, sewn by, etc a crew of thousands. The ball game is going to go on. The studio not making money & making fewer films affects the Best Boy, the grip, the ADR crew, etc. They all work hard on the project & deserve to be able to continue working in their field, not lose work because you atole their art. Would you enjoy people partaking of your work withoit paying for it?
