yup, would have been better. The writers and directors were seemingly proud to have worked out the similarities between Supes and Bat, and their motivations, so that they overstressed it and executed in a corny, melodramatic way. Bummer. I am generally against having middle aged men in costumes clobber because of mommy issues or resolve clobber conflict because of mommy issues; where did this start? But to each their own. It should have ended with Superman showing mercy, having Batman beaten, and giving an epic speach, convincing Batman to help him. You're right, it's a shame. It sucks, but that phase of the DCEU is over. This is an odd thread. I'm not sure what the OP is thinking. The DCEU is thriving. It isn't critically thriving and I'm not sure how you can say the universe as a whole is thriving when it doesn't even have it's two most important characters in place.
