Ride Clear of Diablo (1954) Audie Murphy plays Clay the son of a rancher who returns to his hometown after hearing of his fathers violent death. Clay is side-tracked by the corrupt officials & sent on a false trail to arrest notorious gunslinger Whitey Kinkaid (Dan Duryea) in the town of Diablo. Kinkaid has no connection with the murders, but it is hoped the false lead will see Kinkaid dispose of the troublesome Clay.. Ruthless Kincaid has a sense of humour and is bemused by the the young greenhorn so much so the pair eventually join to capture the real culprits ..
