Who Killed the DC Extended Universe?
If Aquaman ends up being as successful as DC fans are hoping, then the DCEU as we’ve known it, is even deader than it was after Justice League.

A point that appears to have escaped a number of DCU fans. 
The vision which they lauded and hailed as superior to all others because of it's dark, gritty tone and po-faced, thematic undercurrents, has been completely discarded is favor of an attempt to copy the MCU. Instead of deriding this new vision as you may expect, given their previous stance on the subject, staunch DCU fans are now circle-jerking about the financial success of Aquaman as though their point of view has finally been vindicated by general audiences. Nothing could be further from the truth.
