I don't think MVP awards should be based on statistics alone. They should be based on winning. So far, Brees is more of a winner than Mahomes. Ability to win big games in the clutch under pressure ---- Brees has Mahomes beat. Winning is a team stat. Brees has played terribly in multiple games this year. Mahomes has yet to play badly in a single game. Mahomes has only lost due to his defense failing him. Brees has relied on his defense for multiple wins. Agreed with this. Brees was very medicore for a stretch of 4 games from the Falcons game on Thanksgiving through the Saints next 3 road games, only returning to MVP form last week against the Steelers, Mahomes has been marvelous for the entire season. I would vote for Mahomes, he has better stats and has been more consistent, 5000 yards and 50 TD’s is amazing. |
