I’m amazed how The Simpsons Movie didn’t get an Oscar nom.

The Simpsons is NOT The Simpsons anymore after season 10! i'm 37 and i'experienced SimpsonsMania from 1989 to 2000 when i taped every episode, i even have fond memories of seeing them on Tracy Ullman when i was 6 turning 7. Seasons 1 to 10 were the best and i believe this show is a product of the 90s and of it's time, now after season 10, it's NOT The Simpsons but a horrible unfunny poorly written non-satrical piece of garbage called Zombie Simpsons. I stopped watching this show in 2003 as it was getting stale for since mid 2000 i knew something was different about the characters i know and love even everything and i moved on to other adult animation. The show should had ended in 2001 but now it's a zombie that has lost it's edge, intelligence, brilliant writing, satire on being anti-authority/anti-hollywood, emotion and heart/soul (Lisa's substitute) with humanity in it and relatable characters as the soul from the 90s has gone away replaced by a shambling undead lumbering corpse that died in 2001.
Here's a video on how it happened:
although I’ve stuck with the zombie theme in saying that early episodes suffering from a subtle decline are like a “freshly bitten” zombie. You know something’s wrong with the person, you just can’t place it, and other people in the group keep trying to defend them, either due to denial or willful ignorance. But then as the wound starts festering and the infected person starts eying everyone’s craniums, you get more and more suspicious until the bitten individual latches on to one of the last stubborn members in the group who is in mid speech defending them, and takes a bite out of their face. At that point, most of the group acts accordingly, and anyone still willing to defend the zombie deserves what’s coming to them, getting killed or infected themselves.
But the problem with Zombie Simpsons is that there’s a disproportionate amount of defenders in denial while the stinking, rotting corpse is gnawing on their skulls. We’re past B-flick territory and are firmly entrenched in Z-grade scripts. It's just not a relevant show anymore! we have Bojack Horseman, Rick and Morty, Archer, Bob's Burgers, Regular Show etc. which are more relevant adult animation and this shows than Zombie Simpsons ever be. Even Bojack Horseman has the same heart/soul/intelligence/spirit as The REAL Simpsons (1989 to 1999). I'm also happy Futurama and King of the Hill ended on good notes than become zombies like The Simpsons.
Now if they made Rick and Morty the movie or Bojack Horseman the movie that be something especially now that Bob's Burgers is getting it's own movie since they are more culturally relevant adult animated shows.
Being a Simpsons fan is like having a beloved relative who’s been on life support for years and you’ve accepted they’re gone so you’re just waiting for someone to realize they need to pull the plug on them.
