Let’s set aside our personal opinions and look at this objectively, eh?
Which superhero movies are considered the best? I will break it up into six categories. MCU, Marvel, X-men, DC, DCEU, and Other.
To accomplish this task, I will use a tool that some of you may have only recently heard of ... Google.
I will also limit the best movies to the top ten, and reference the top ten lists from the Google search. That should give us a large enough sample for a definitive conclusion.
Keep in mind that your own personal opinion is worthless and weak, particularly if you’ve been expressing it for years with zero results (other than your own publicly displayed anguish). Please keep it to yourselves because, honestly, no one cares. Not even your mother.
Google
A Google search of the best superhero movies returns five MCU movies, two Marvel movies, and three DC movies.
Rotten Tomatoes
This is the list that was endlessly referred to as the ultimate guide by some silly DCEU fans when one of their movies cracked the top ten, but in reality it’s just one of a number of lists on the internet. Once again we’ve got five MCU movies in the top ten, a couple Marvel movies, a DC movie, one DCEU movie, one Other.
Vulture
Among Vultures top ten are three MCU movies, three DC movies, two Marvel movies, two Other.
The Ringer
Five MCU, Two DC, two Marvel, one DCEU.

Five MCU, three Marvel, one DC, one Other.
Newsweek
Four MCU, two DC, two Marvel, one Other.
IGN
Five MCU, three DC, one Marvel, one X-Men (finally!)

Winners
Clearly, the MCU makes the best superhero movies with a number of their movies dominating these best 10 lists. DC, prior to being corrupted by the DCEU, is a respectable second place, and non-MCU Marvel comes in third.
Losers
It’s a bit of a toss up. Let’s call it a tie. Although the DCEU has an entry in multiple lists, it’s the same movie each time ... and I was beginning to worry that X-Men was going to completely whiff, but it managed to squeak onto a couple lists at the end. Still, a pretty sad showing for both franchises.
So there you have it.
Reality. It’s best if you just face it. Beating yourself up on the MCU board, every single day, is no substitute for a nice little sit down with a therapist.
