Anybody but Notre Dame. They should not have been in the playoffs. By the eyeball test I agree, they weren't a convincing playoff team but they earned it by going undefeated. Still, their lack of elite athletes on both sides of the ball was made evident in that Clemson game if you didn't already know going in. I still think UCF should've made the playoff, but that was never going to happen. At the end of the day, there's no reason not to have a 16 team bracket; at the very least an 8 team bracket. I thought it was hilarious that Georgia was throwing shade at Notre Dame on Twitter, then came out flat themselves and lost to Texas. Who exactly were the best four teams, because I don't think bowl season answered that question adequately. That's why we need at least 8 spots in the playoffs. I agree, the playoffs should include more than 4 teams. I disagree Notre Dame should have been there. They were in for other reasons than impressive football. I disagree UCF should have been in the playoffs. They couldn't even beat LSU who was missing 8 starters.
