I'm beginning to think that it wasn't John Wayne who won WWII in the movies - it was Errol Flynn! This is odd because, to quote Wikipedia:
In 1980, author Charles Higham wrote a controversial biography, Errol Flynn: The Untold Story, alleging that Flynn was a fascist sympathiser who spied for the Nazis before and during the Second World War
I believe this has been pretty much debunked.
