After Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, I thought Bay could have grown into a more respected director. Alas he was saddled with that dumb Transformers garbage and doomed himself from ever being taken seriously again. Maybe he should do a Vietnam film and totally resurrect his career. The man could probably do some amazing napalm footage (or maybe do the whole movie about B-52 bombing sorties). Imagine Bay doing this (from Operation Arc Light). He was born for it.  Good idea, but I think his reputation may be too far gone to ever get that chance after so many idiotic toy movies. |
