Maybe he should do a Vietnam film and totally resurrect his career. The man could probably do some amazing napalm footage (or maybe do the whole movie about B-52 bombing sorties). Imagine Bay doing this (from Operation Arc Light). He was born for it.  Good idea, but I think his reputation may be too far gone to ever get that chance after so many idiotic toy movies. Of his recent films, Pain & Gain was probably his best. It does take talent to fuck up a simple concept like Transformers but Bay finds a way. It's not surprising to hear the first Transformers movie not directed by him is getting much better reviews. |
