What’s interesting in retrospect is that this holiday was supposed to be a Battle Royale - but it became essentially a one-movie show with Aquaman outright dominating its competition and the rest of the biggies (Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Walt Disney's Mary Poppins Returns and Paramount/Viacom's Bumblebee) fighting for comparative scraps.
In US Aqua has passed the $229 million domestic total of Justice League. According to analysts its within the realm of possibility that Aquaman might swim to $300m domestic. The race is won internationally though: Wordwide the next stops will be

- Venom ($855,5)
- GotG 2 ($863,7)
and then the big fish:
- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($873,6),
maybe on Sunday already, so to to become DCEU's biggest global earner ever.
