Is Transformers going the way of the X-Men franchise?

Yes they probably will do that but I don’t think that anyone really cares if they do. No one watches the Bay films for the plot, so what difference does it make if it’s contradicted? Other film series couldn’t stand for contradiction but Transformers will be fine.
