Forbes prognosis: Barring a dramatic comedown this weekend, it’s now a matter of when, not if, Aquaman swims past $300m domestic and $1 BILLION worldwide. While China represents a large chunk of the overseas booty, Aqua is still doing above-par for a DC Films flick even outside of China. If this run continues, then we could (emphasis on “could”) see a $315m domestic cume and a $725m overseas cume for a $1.04 billion global total. Aquaman will pass Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($873m) sometime today to become DCEU Films’ biggest grosser. Foreign box office is about to/has already beaten Nolan's TDK and TDK Rises. Once Aquaman passes gross of Spider-Man 3, Aquaman will be the fifth-biggest solo superhero flick ever, behind the Chris Nolan Dark Knight sequels, Iron Man 3 and Black Panther. Not only the King of Atlantis. But the hero of DC.
"What's the difference between a hero and a king? ...A hero fights for everyone."
