I love trolls who think that Spiderman Homecoming and Black Panther are somehow worse movies than Jonah Hex, Fantastic 4, Elektra, Catwoman, etc. Hilarious. Black Panther and Spider-Man Homecoming and extremely generic superhero movies. Homecoming is like the other Spider-Man movies except the origin has been omitted. Black Panther is a generic superhero movie but it has an almost all black cast. Both are excellent superhero movies, though (IMO) neither bring anything significantly new to the table that would catapult them to the top of the superhero pyramid. In that regard the MCUs high level of consistency is actually a detriment to any new MCU movies. It is very hard to raise the bar any further. The DCEU, on the other hand, has plenty of room for improvement! |
