And before 2016, most people said the same thing about Jay Wright. Jay Wright couldn't win the big games. Then Jay Wright won a couple of national championships. So past history doesn't mean squat. Jay Wright's 2016 and 2018 teams had nothing to do with the past failures of previous Villanova teams before 2016. And this current Chiefs team has nothing to do with the past failures of previous Chiefs teams. No, but Andy Reid does. So what? Jay Wright coached the 2016 Villanova team. Why didn't that Villanova team lose in the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament like so many of Jay Wright's previous Villanova teams had? Because that 2016 Villanova team had nothing to do with those previous Villanova teams that lost in the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Just like this current Chiefs team has nothing to do with previous Chiefs teams that lost in the playoffs.
