Don’t be an idiot. There are degrees of success. Andy Reid is better than Hue Jackson for example, and he has a better CHANCE at winning, he just hasn’t done so in 19 seasons. The Eagles kept Reid on at least 2 or 3 seasons too long. He’s not a BAD coach necessarily, but he has yet to show he’s a great coach. As of now he’s an accumulator. I don’t care if he finishes his career with a billion wins, if there’s no Super Bowl win in there then his career will have been unsuccessful in the only way that really matters.
I know the goal is to win a SB. That is the ultimate definition of success in the NFL but let's not punch people in the stomach because we think they're "losers" if they don't win one. Many great coaches have tried and failed.
I disagree. Many "good" coaches have tried and failed. "Great" coaches win championships.
