How about the movie removes Sandman entirely, re-cast Eddie Brock, take out the silly bullshit and make it a Spider-Man vs.Venom movie?
I still don't understand why Sam Raimi was so against using Venom as the villain. The horror aspects of the character are right up his alley and Venom is one of the 3 best Spider-Man villains.
The symbiote bonding with Sandman makes no sense, because Sandman is already extremely powerful and even uses his powers in a similar way.
