When the "Gabby" storyline started wrapping up, they should have already had something big brewing to keep the momentum going. Jack's return wasn't it.
Right now we have:
- Sarah, Eric, Rex
- Jack, Eve, Jennifer
- Brady and Chloe
- Chad trying to win back Abby
- Hope is still after Ben
- Will and Sonny sneaking around
- Lani and Eli
- JJ and Haley
I don't speak for everyone, but all of those pairings and stories are boring as hell. Not to mention there are characters like Marlena, Roman, Abe, and Kayla who are doing nothing.
