Generalizing, she doesn't! It is about the attention only that she gets from boys. While girls can be more mature than boys at that age, that doesn't account for much life experience in partnership relationships, unless they are trampy flirts. Such 13yr old girls though, their looks and intelligence may belie their true age and many may tell lies about how old they really are. The girl you are referring to, were her boyfriends in the same grade? They were. So at least she was sticking to her own age group. It was probably important for her to have a boyfriend at any stage of her life if she had a needy nature. Placing importance and reverence on boys can appear somewhat shallow, but that is just the nature of the female beast. Pubescent boys would do the same towards girls and many boys like to be seen as having a gf for sex.
