Agreed I'm a Mets fan and hate the Yankees but their new approach of building from within without spending ridiculous amounts of money could build them a new dynasty like in the late 90's specially with the young core they have (Judge, Sanchez, Andujar) all they really need is a good Ace and they are ready to go. The Yanks of the early 2000's would have thrown bushels of cash at Harper, regardless of need. Especially in a year where the Red Sox aren't making many headlines. You could call Judge, Sanchez. Andujar and Torres the "New Core Four". And very wise acquisitions, Didi Gregorius, Aaron Hicks and a couple big contracts, Stanton, Chapman. They stayed away from Ohtani last year and the Terrible Two this year. Still with an embarrassment of riches in the minors. The Red Sox might challenge for another year, then the upcoming contracts of the big players, Sale, Betts, Bogie added to the already bloated payroll could hamstring the Sox. Grrrrr. I liked the Yankees better when they did stupid things. What about the Os? Surely they are in the playoffs within 2 years.
