The Cabrera deal was a 8 year deal starting with age 33 season and going through his age 40 season. Plus 2 option seasons for ages 41 and 42.
The Pujols deal was a 10 year deal starting with age 32 season and going through his age 41 season.
If Machado signs a 10 year deal it will be for ages 26-35.
If Harper signs a 10 year deal it will be for ages 26-35.
Not really a fair one for one comparison.
