Jan wasn't a great character but I really liked Heather Lindell a lot. To answer your question, Leafs, she wound up in a coma last we heard of her. She'd be a great character to bring back, but obviously only if Shawn and Belle were on fulltime.

I think is borderline a Mary Beth Evans, Renee Jones situation. Yes, technically, there was another one, but Lauren Koslow has inhabited the role for so long. I've seen only a bit of Deborah Adair's, and she's fine, but Kate is a completely different character now.

For me, it's too soon to gauge Kyle Lowder's Rex, but it wasn't like Eric Winter's had an abundance of personality either. Kyle's Rex feels like someone completely new though. He's got this douchebro vibe. What happened to him being a super genius?

I'll say Greg Vaughan. I don't really dig either Eric, but I remember hating Eric at the time Jensen Ackles played him. He didn't seem like much more than a pretty face. Greg's Eric can be a little too dour and humorless, but he at least feels like he has an identity in middle age that he didn't have in his youth.
