I saw it yesterday and I loved it! First film in recent memory to get a 10 from me. Stunning to look at, and a great story too (even though I agree with you that the characters' motivations are not always clear).
I wasn't a big fan of the director's Oscar-winning "Ida", so I almost skipped this one - good thing I didn't!
