I have a feeling there’s an entire generation of Pats fans that haven’t known what it’s like not to be highly successful. Every dynasty takes a dip. I’m just curious to see how those snowflakes handle it when their team isn’t making championship games every year. It's funny because I've been trying to prepare my wife for the worst. She didn't watch football until she started dating me-- in 2001. All she's ever known as a Pats fan is success. It's going to get ugly again, sooner rather than later. The good news: Kraft is one of the best owners in the league, so under his leadership we shouldn't dip into Cleveland or Detroit territory. But he's no spring chicken and I'm not convinced Jonathan Kraft will be as competent as his father. We'll see how it goes. Like you said, all we can do is enjoy it while it lasts. I think the real question will be if Belichick outlasts Brady. If, in 35 years or so, when Brady has to retire Bill sticks around, they can't possibly fall off as much as other dynasties do. Not right away at least. The other thing is the divisional competition. I have no faith that Miami, Buffalo, or the Jets are going to be anything but disappointing going forward, so continuously missing the playoffs doesn't appear to be in their future to me either.
