Clearly, this wasn't mean to be the series finale... but it doesn't work as a season finale either. It completely falls apart by the end. The show mostly revolves around the characters keeping their secret. When it was exposed in the season 1 finale, it wasn't well-handled, but at least it was acknowledged. Here, a giant koala climbs a bridge in the middle of the city and a laser guns reduces its size! Did the writers think that they didn't have to deal with this until the season 3 premiere? That's no excuse!
Instead, the episode ends with RUSS accidentally making the koala giant again and his friends saying his name in a very 60s sitcom way. Now, I don't think ELIZABETH deserved no redemption, but she didn't do much to earn it either. She never apologized for the things she's done. Bringing another villain (JACK) to make her look good in comparison isn't the answer. Making that villain mistreat her to make her look like a victim isn't the answer. Luckily, this episode didn't take the easy way out and have TOBY forgive her, despite their kiss. I'm sure season 3 would've featured a proper redemption arc for her.
Oh, well... Overall, it was a good show. Funny comedy, solid characters and a good incorporation of science to teach the audience without feeling like a lecture.
