SyfFy and AMC have been showing the trilogy recently and I was reminded of an old question I always had about the Architect. He visibly scoffs when Neo asks if the Oracle is the program he's talking about. It's pretty obvious in the third movie that she is the one who helped him get The Matrix working, so why does he act appalled when Neo correctly guesses with the other program was? I never understood that. Yes, there is a mental blindness with the Architect which does not fit his great intelligence. On the other hand, there are examples of brilliant people being in denial about things. The Oracle has been able to see answers to problems which the Architect could not grasp. And because of his denial/mental blind spot, he cannot give her credit. Imo at least, BB ;-) Oh, so you think it was intentional? I never even considered that to be honest, though it does make sense considering his personality.
