Yes, it's irrelevant compared to Avengers 3.
And it only got recognizing because all of that buzz regarding racism and people downvoting it on purpose in the beginning. The movie is just meh.
The success of the Avengers ensemble movies depend on the success of the standalone movies they're based on, and Black Panther made more money than any other standalone movie in the Franchise. That's as relevant as it gets.
