I read what you said. I just don't agree. Your OP is comparing the success of an ensemble movie to one of its standalone movies to say that the standalone is shit, ignoring the fact that it's the most successful standalone in the Avengers franchise.

The recognition that Black Panther got is the same recognition that fueled the success of its sequel, so whatever criticism you have about that recognition applies to Avengers 3 as well.

The Avengers movies are extremely sucessful exactly because they are awesome movies and people love them and the characters.

Black Panther only got recognition because it made all that war SJWs vs. anti-SJWs and etc. Most people don't even rate the movie very high.
